Who is eligible for the Fellowship?
Anyone that is a US citizen with a high school diploma can apply. We're looking for drive, curiosity, and readiness to work.
Is this really free?
Yes. Fellows do not pay tuition out of pocket and do not take out loans. Your apprenticeship earnings cover the cost of your college tuition.
How does the college part work?
Our college partners provide an accredited bachelor's degree in Computer Science. You'll start with a 4-month full-time immersive education experience, then shift to part-time study while working in your apprenticeship.
How does the apprenticeship work?
Apprenticeships are with vetted employer partners. You'll work ~20 hours/week while studying, and full-time in the final phase. These are real roles, typically in-person or hybrid.
What if I don't have experience in tech?
No problem. The program starts with the foundational computer science knowledge you need to be successful.
What kind of support will I get?
You'll be supported by a college mentor, a workplace mentor, and your Bletchley Fellow community.
What jobs do graduates get?
Many Fellows go on to become machine learning engineers, data scientists, software engineers, cybersecurity engineers, or pursue advanced degrees in Artificial Intelligence.
Where are the apprenticeships located?
Most roles are in person or hybrid in one of our fellowship host cities, with peer communities organized by geography to encourage connection.
When can I apply?
Applications are open year-round with new cohorts starting multiple times per year. Check the application page for deadlines.
